Being able to accept the mistakes and confidently moving forward by fixing those mistakes are key aspects to improving one's language skills. Do not worry about making mistakes especially if one's primary language is another language, because many people will be able to tell that one is a foreigner and that they will be most likely to help you if they see that one is trying. When I was touring in New York, I have witnessed many foreigners who could not order simple meals in a restaurant only because they were not loud enough for the waiters to understand them. These are some of the reasons that confidence is a key aspect of improving one's English skills. Last tip is to go out and watch a movie instead of studying alone in front of the desk. Many Asians have a tendency of studying alone because of the habits from Asian culture, but watching a movie from a theater allows one to improve on listening skills. Many students who study alone are fantastic on the reading comprehension and grammar skills which could be taught through books but they lack the listening and speaking skills that only could be learn through live interactions. Watching a movie helps one to improve on the listening aspect of English while being able to enjoy the movie at the same time. These are also easy to do if one is having hard time with interacting with other Americans. In conclusion, there are many ways to successfully learn English, but my personal experiences taught me three general tips. Making friends with common interests, having confidence and relating the study with fun activities will help anyone who is struggling with English just as I was struggling when I first came to America. This world is full of people who use English, and it could be a very useful tool to adventure out to different countries and
