You can easily access the Hagley Park and the Botanic Gardens, a variety of cafes, restaurants, shops and accommodation establishments within a 20 minute walk of each other. Additionally it has an international gateway which makes travelling to and from your home country easier and more accessible for friends and family to visit. Before you decide to learn English in New Zealand, arrange accommodation that you feel would be most logical and appropriate for your requirements. You could opt to live in an apartment or rental property with a friend for instance, or decide to branch out and stay with New Zealanders. This provides a great opportunity to pick up the English language a lot quicker, learn some of the local terminology and immerse yourself in the local culture. Wherever you choose to stay, New Zealander's are great hosts who will make your transition from overseas so much easier.
